Cardiac tamponade

Share

Link copied

A condition in which a person has too much fluid in the sac that surrounds the heart. As the sac fills with liquid and gets tighter, the heart has less room to expand. The heart thus contains less blood to pump out, causing inadequate blood pressure and circulation.
