Herniated nucleus pulposus
Herniated nucleus pulposus, also called a herniated disk, is a condition where a disk between two spinal bones has an outer weakness that allowed the inside nucleus pulposus to protrude out. This can result in no symptoms, local inflammation and pain, or the bulge can impinge on a nerve, causing weakness or lack of sensation in the part of the body that the nerve travels to.
