Receding gums
Receding gums, also known as gingival recession, is the loss of gum volume due most commonly to gingivitis (inflammation of the gums). Other causes of gum recession include inherited genes, aggressive tooth brushing, tobacco and other drug use, as well as vitamin deficiencies and certain medications.
