Reduced visual acuity is a symptom in which a person cannot see as clearly as before, usually meaning he has become more nearsighted, more farsighted, or more presbyopic (difficulty with near-vision due to aging). Changes in one's visual acuity over a short time can be an emergency situation, until an eye doctor decides that there is not a danger of vision damage.
