CSF viral pathogen PCR
CSF (cerebrospinal fluid or spinal fluid) PCR (polymerase chain reaction) viral pathogen is a lab test to look for fragments of the more common viruses that tend to infect the CSF. A positive test result suggests infection (meningitis in this case) with a virus.
